Let the Hundredth Day of School Begin!!

What can you do with some tagboard, duct tape, fancy of course, mylar wrapping paper, and a little masking tape?  Why you can put up a pretty cool looking door entrance for the 100th day of school.  I measured out the tagboard to fit on the top of my door, attached mylar wrapping with masking tape to it, and covered it with duct tape.  Then I cut vertical strips, some not so good and straight, haha, and finally attached it to my door jam with masking tape.  Oh, I forgot to mention that I snagged the fabulous 100 days of school from my friend Nikki for a little added decor and there it is friends.  I love it.  I'm going to love celebrating the 100th day of school with my third graders. I also included a poster board display for my kiddos to write about their 100th day of school.  I hope you have/had a great 100th day too!!  Spread your love!!

It's Friday!!

It was a very challenging day from the moment I got up.  I think we have these kinds of hard days to truly celebrate and appreciate all the times when things go as planned.  As a teacher you have to put on your best face and keep moving forward.  There are always things to be grateful for and in spite of the challenges we had some great successes.  One of them was working with candy hearts to make arrays and groups in multiplication.

Here is a picture outside of my room to celebrate the Olympic Games.  Go USA.  Hope you all have a relaxing, happy, fun, well deserved weekend.

The Olympics!

I am in love with the Olympic Games.  I have so many stories about why I do but for now won't bother you all with them.  Just take a peek at the things I've done with my kiddos lockers.  There is sure a lot of locker learning going on.  Hope and peace on this Thursday evening!!
