"Fill your mind with truth. Fill your heart with love. Fill your life with service." ~Thomas Monson
I spent some good, quality time with my grown son today. It makes me appreciate time...time to just take a breathe and sit with the people you love, time to reflect, time to challenge, time to learn, time to teach, time to just allow yourself the pleasure of sitting. What a magnificent morning!
I headed off to school after my nice morning to, hopefully, make a difference in someone else's life. What we do as teachers is for the betterment of our students. Always in my mind is the thought..."they're gonna love this!" or "I can't wait for them to see this..." or "This is going to help them make those important connections...". We do it for our students out of love for them. I call that service. I hope we can all spend sometime reflecting on giving back to another...for me there is nothing better than that. Blessing to you my friends!
P.S. Here are a few snapshots of my room as it unfolds! Enjoy!
Thanks to my dear friend Nikki at Melonheadz Illustrating for making these fabuloso pictures...it makes me look so good, Nikki:). www.melonheadzillustrating.blogspot.com.

DeleteYour room looks incredible! I like how you are able to use reading buddies. I can't because of fire safety regulations. :(
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to have such an awesome day!

Awww...so sad about the regulations. I understand them, though. We haven't heard about this yet but who knows. Thanks for your kind words!
DeleteI love your room. I'm also a third grade teacher. I'll have to take a picture of my reading buddy basket because they are very similar. I also do CAFE and Daily Five. I will enjoy learning from you.
